I am creating paintings, collages and objects on the theme of visual tactility in Japanese art. “Visual tactility” refers to the sense of touch felt through the sense of sight. One of the common characteristics of Japanese art since the modern era is the excess of visual tactility. This excessive tactility is a kind of weird and messy thing. This is a characteristic of Japanese modern art that is often forgotten today. Therefore, I think I can express a new Japanese art by focusing on such excessive tactile sensation again
